Kayak flips, man and woman rescued off Kailua

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Lifeguards on a jet ski rescued a pair of tourists after their kayak flipped in waters of Windward Oahu.
Ocean Safety found the man and woman in their 40′s struggling in waves behind Popoia Island (Flat Island) off Kailua Beach around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
Both were brought to shore without injuries.
Ocean Safety says they were wearing life jackets.
